How I got into life coaching
Five years ago, I was miserable. Most days, I’d wake up depressed and anxious and head off to a job I couldn’t stand. I had no energy, no motivation, and felt like I had no real purpose. I literally felt little bits of life drain from me every single day.
I had lost my way forward, which lead me toward finding a life coach of my own. The things I learned about myself and how this experience could help others led me to life coach training and certification.
How I got into grief coaching
We all experience loss sooner or later, and with loss comes grief. Sometimes that grief can be debilitating and keep you from honoring the life you have to live. I’m no exception. Unexpectedly, I lost someone I loved dearly to suicide, and grief hit me like a ton of bricks. Devastation, anger, depression, fear, confusion – all of it pounding me down at the same time.
It took a toll, but I had a great support system of loved ones to help me get through the roughest spots. Being able to openly share in a safe, nonjudgmental environment helped tremendously. I realize not everyone has that support system, which lead me to become a grief coach.
I want to be that safe and supportive “go-to” for anyone experiencing grief, and I want to help you process and heal at a pace and in a way that makes you feel comfortable.
After a year of training, Candice completed her certification in Co-Active Coach training, earning her Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) credentials. She earned her grief coaching certificate after four months of training from the From Grief to Gratitude training and recently completed training in Mindfulness Meditation & Compassion at The Path.
